About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and well-organized School Librarian who enjoys working with children and nurturing a love for reading and learning. The ideal candidate will manage the school library, support students and teachers with quality learning resources, and create a welcoming space where curiosity and independent reading thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the school library collection, including print, digital resources, and journals
- Organize, catalogue, and classify library materials using standard library classification systems
- Handle day-to-day library operations, including circulation, inventory, and record management
- Collaborate with teachers to align library resources with the CBSE curriculum
- Recommend books and learning materials to students and faculty based on academic and reading needs
- Curate age-appropriate, diverse, and engaging reading materials
- Create an attractive and student-friendly library environment through displays and guides
Qualifications & Requirements
· Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Library Science or Relevant Field
· Experience: 1+ years as a School Librarian (CBSE school experience preferred)
· Knowledge of library systems and cataloguing
