KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum focusing on:
- Self-awareness
- Self-regulation
- Social awareness
- Relationship skills
- Responsible decision-making
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and respect
- Monitor and assess students’ social and emotional development
- Design and implement targeted interventions to support individual student needs
- Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and administrators to implement SEL strategies across the school
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support students’ emotional growth and address concerns
- Promote positive behavior and manage classroom dynamics effectively
- Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage healthy peer relationships
- Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
- Participate in school meetings, events, and SEL-related initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
- Prior experience in teaching, counseling, or working with children in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of Social Emotional Learning principles and practices
